2013 Fellowship Survey

Thank you for your interest in the first ever CMA Membership Survey. We are currently conducting this anonymous survey throughout the world in an effort to better understand our fellowship. It is our hope that by surveying our members, we will gain a better understanding of the diversity of our fellowship and thereby become better equipped to effectively carry the message to the addict who still suffers.

The distribution of the survey is being implemented throughout the service structure in the form of paper surveys, by trusted servants who have been asked to carry out this duty (Delegates, DSR's, GSR's). If, for some reason, your meeting has not been contacted and would like to participate, please email us at survey@cmagso.net. These are to be filled out on the group level at a time and method decided by the meeting/group. In states with Area Delegates, those Delegates will be utilizing the structures in place to make sure that each group has the opportunity to participate in the survey. In states with no Delegates, meeting contacts are being asked to bring this survey to the group for consideration.

Being autonomous, groups are free to decide if, how, and when they will conduct the survey. We encourage trusted servants who are conducting the survey to return them by the end of the survey period by means of one of the methods described below. This survey period is from January 1st to March 31st.

The survey is voluntary and completely anonymous.

Below are some Frequently Asked Questions that may help participants and those conducting the survey.

Questions that may be asked by the GSR/Meeting Representative

Can we conduct the survey on more than one night in order to allow for greater participation?
Yes. However it works best for your group, keeping in mind that we would like all completed surveys to be returned as soon as possible. Please remember that the survey period ends March 31, 2013.

How do I do this?
Preparation: each group decides on date(s) for the survey to be conducted and makes announcements . Because the surveys will need to be printed, supply costs such as pens , paper and postage may be incurred - each group may wish to discuss and decide how to address this.

Conducting: Bring enough copies of the survey for everyone in the meeting, and if possible, make pens available for those who may not have one. We would encourage you to collect the completed surveys that same night rather than allow members to take them home to complete.

Returning: Completed surveys can be scanned and emailed to survey@cmagso.net or survey may be returned in hard copy to:  CMA General Services, 4470 West Sunset Boulevard Suite 107 PMB 555, Los Angeles CA 90027-6302, Attn : PI&O Survey.

Should I conduct the survey in an H&I panel/meeting?
We would welcome the participation of those who identify as members of CMA, to the extent that doing so complies with the specific facility or institution’s policies.
