Hello and welcome to our quarterly newsletter for the fellowship of Crystal Meth Anonymous. We hope spring has begun to bloom in your part of the country. CMA has moved all web hosting operations to a new server. Most functions are all up and running -- however if you find something not working or a broken link, please let the web team know.
The 2010 CMA World General Services Conference was just held in New York City, March 4th -- 7th, 2010. We wish to extend a special thanks to the hard work of the New York CMA host committee, the World Conference Committee and the many volunteers that worked tirelessly through the weekend. Many CMA Service people attended, including Area Delegates from around the United States. Various local Districts and Intergroups were also in attendance.
The Conference included work sessions where the Executive Committee updated the first CMA Manual for World Services (the Service Manual). Also all the rest of the General Services Committees, including the Public Information, Literature, Hospital & Institutions and World Conference Committees updated their Service Guidelines. If you would like to read the CMA Manual for World Services, you are invited to download and print a copy.
During the 2010 CMA World General Services Conference a manuscript version of the CMA book, "Unspun: Stories of Hope" was given to Area Delegates and Trustees to take back to their groups for review. Suggested new titles were presented then discussed. A method for the fellowship to review the manuscript before book publication was presented to the conference, hoping members of the fellowship will go online and make their comments known. There is also a request for new personal stories of success in early sobriety, 750/1000 word essays on how members overcame obstacles in early sobriety through the steps.
