Spring is here and we hope this newsletter finds you enjoying the weather.

Fellowship Communications Committee is a new "General Services Committee" designed to aide with intra-fellowship communications. The information collected by the Communications Committee is not stored on this website. Please ask your meeting secretary or group GSR to update the information for your meeting often even if you think your listing is current. If your meeting commitments have changed -- please let the registrar know -- UPDATE your group listing.

Here are some of the latest updates from regions around the country.

Mike K from the Las Vegas area tells us that the LV area is in the process of creating an intergroup. The first CMA meeting in Las Vegas was held in Sept. '05, since then there are now 16 meetings per week including 2 H&I meetings.

Mike from the Philadelphia area commented that Philly CMA has started a fourth meeting each week. All the group's meetings are located at William Way LGBT Community Center, Philadelphia PA.

Doug from Atlanta tells us that the Mid-South Region is hosting the 6th annual Cloudland Canyon Recovery Retreat in the North Georgia Mountains from November 5th through 8th. Those who have participated in the event tell us that it is the great way to reconnect with nature through sobriety and fellowship. If you would like to learn more about it, check out www.atlantacma.org.

CMA Chicago is gearing up for their 3rd annual Round-up during Chicago‚s Halsted Market Days July 31 €“ August 2, 2009. This year‚s keynote speaker is LA Area‚s Don N. For more information about the event check out cmachicago.org.

Chicago CMA has also just added their 7th meeting of the week - now there is a CMA meeting offered every day of the week. And finally for the latest digs from our fellowship is that the LA Area just hosted their annual Round Up. The event was attended by over 500 CMA‚s and included the Keynote address by Don N. A Saturday night concert was the high point of the weekend. Comments heard so far are €œamazing weekend€ and €œfabulous event!€

News from the Literature Committee is that the CMA book, €œUnspun€ is in the editing process and is expected to go to press within the year. They have just elected Rick as their new Chair. Thanks Corey for all the work you have put into the committee. The P.I. Committee has just elected a new Chair, Brent V. Their work includes updating P.I. Service pamphlets and writing a new PI Service manual that addresses a growing fellowship‚s needs. We would like to thank Dave H. for all the work he has done as chair in the years past. Finally, we encourage you to find new ways of service and support in your area. As our fellowship grows with new meetings like €œThe Free Zone€ in British Columbia, Canada or €œOpen the Blinds€ in Denver, Colorado or €œLife After Meth€ in Tusalosa, Alabama, or €œRelapse Prevention and Recovery€ in Chicago, IL - it is now possible to travel and have an instant group of friends wherever your destination may be. Please feel free to send us your area‚s updates, milestones or latest events.
